Flux Website with Eventix Ticket Integration

Status: delivered - Project Type: Website

Project Overview

Flux is a non-profit cultural centre focused on the youth community. They organize parties, competitions, and community events, serving as a hub for creativity and social connection. Flux needed a modern website that could highlight their activities, share practical information, and provide a seamless way for visitors to purchase tickets to events.

The main challenge was to integrate Eventix, their chosen ticketing provider, into the website in a way that felt natural and trustworthy, without disrupting the user experience.

Goals

  • Design and develop a responsive, mobile-first website aligned with Flux’s cultural identity.

  • Integrate Eventix ticket ordering directly into the site to reduce friction and build user trust.

  • Ensure scalability so Flux can continue to expand its digital presence over time.

Technical Approach

Website Development

  • Framework: Next.js for performance and scalability.

  • Styling: TailwindCSS, enabling flexible design while maintaining a fast workflow.

  • UI/UX: Focused on clarity, accessibility, and straightforward navigation. Sections were designed for events, competitions, community updates, and calls-to-action.

Ticketing Integration

  • The Eventix ticketing system was embedded directly into the website.

  • Integration was handled through an iframe solution, styled and adapted to Flux’s identity to make the purchase flow feel consistent with the rest of the site.

  • Lazy loading was applied so the Eventix application would not impact the performance of the rest of the site.

Challenges & Solutions

  1. Maintaining Brand Consistency
Third-party ticketing interfaces can often feel disconnected. By styling the Eventix integration and embedding it into Flux’s design system, the purchase process felt like a native part of the website.

  2. Performance Optimization
Event ticketing scripts can slow down load times. Conditional rendering and lazy loading ensured the ticketing system only loaded when needed, preserving site performance.

  3. Community-Focused Flexibility
As Flux hosts a wide variety of activities, the site was built with modular components. This allows the team to easily update content such as events details, team information and a FAQ without requiring technical intervention.

Results

  • Increased completion rate of ticket purchases compared to linking externally to Eventix.

  • Achieved strong Lighthouse scores, with over 95% performance on both desktop and mobile.

  • Flux staff reported that the site is easier to update and are still very content with the outcome of this project.

Key Takeaway

This project shows how a youth organization such as the Flux can strengthen its digital presence by combining a clear, responsive website with seamless third-party integrations. By embedding the Eventix ticketing system directly into the site, we reduced friction for visitors, and created a foundation that Flux can build on for later expansions.
